How will I be refunded?

Refund Methods Explained

At Tecexel, refunds are processed in a transparent, fair, and secure manner. Once your return or refund request has been approved, the refund method will depend on how you originally paid and the type of return.

We don’t do vague promises — here’s exactly how it works.

Approved Refund Methods

1️⃣ Refund to Original Payment Method

Where possible, refunds are issued back to the original payment method, including:

  • Debit or credit cards
  • EFT payments
  • Online payment gateways (PayFast, Peach Payments, etc.)

Processing time:
Once approved, refunds typically reflect within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.

2️⃣ Store Credit

In some cases, refunds may be issued as Tecexel store credit, especially when:

  • The return falls outside standard refund timelines
  • The product was purchased during a promotion
  • The customer prefers store credit
  • A replacement is unavailable

Store credit:

  • Does not expire
  • Can be used on any eligible product
  • Is issued faster than bank refunds

3️⃣ Partial Refunds

A partial refund may apply if:

  • Accessories or packaging are missing
  • The item shows signs of use
  • Delivery fees are non-refundable (unless the return is due to our error)
  • All partial refunds are communicated clearly before processing.

When Refunds Are Processed

Refunds are only processed after:

  • The returned item has been received (if required)
  • Inspection and verification are completed
  • The return meets our Returns & Refunds policy

We do not issue refunds before verification — this protects both you and us.

What Is Not Refundable?

The following are generally non-refundable unless faulty or incorrectly supplied:

  • Delivery or courier fees
  • Installation or service fees
  • Digital products or downloads
  • Clearance or final-sale items (unless defective)

Important Things to Know

  • Refunds cannot be redirected to a different bank account
  • Refund timelines are influenced by banks, not just Tecexel
  • Proof of purchase is required for all refunds
  • Cash refunds are not offered
